Life during Covid-19 outbreak capturing wildlife

Life during Covid-19 outbreak capturing wildlife

s the world opens up slowly during the Covid-19 epidemic bookings and inquiries are starting to come in and as restrictions in the UK relax. So as I prepared for this I chose to invest in some new equipment

I purchased in September of last year the Canon R5 mirrorless camera together with 2 new lenses, the RF zoom 24-240 and RF 100-500 superzoom with the 1.4 extender. With a massive 42 megapixels and ability to photograph clearer images at a higher ISO than the 5D MK3, my previous camera, I am well impressed with its functions and superb sensors. With this in mind and the impact of Covid-19, I have ventured into the field of wildlife photography.

Firstly with my visits to Andalucia, Spain, the Iberian Ibex have been wonderful subjects, together with some of the local and migrating birds. Whilst in the UK, based in Sussex, the wintering birds have been wonderful to capture on the lens. In particular I must give a mention to the Warnham Nature Reserve near Horsham, Sussex which has provided an amazing habitat and hides to photograph and observe.

As a result I have created a new category in my portfolio dedicated to the natural world and will be adding to it as time goes by.
